Our Sacred Sites wines are made using fruit from some of the oldest still-producing vineyards in the world – each bearing vines that were planted more than a century ago. Having survived the test of time these ancient vines consistently make exceptional wines that have their own distinct character and unique qualities. In 2004, we decided that if the vines were still healthy and producing great wine after 100 years, then those wines deserved to be made and bottled individually, and so the Sacred Sites range was born. Vineyard size limits production to 250–300 dozen from each site, which, combined with their intrinsic quality, unique flavour profiles and ability to age, turns the wines into instant collectors’ items.
These sacred sites are some of the most distinguished pockets of vineyard land in Australia, having survived the test of time and consistently making exceptional wines that have their own distinct character and unique qualities. In 2004, we decided to bottle these wines on their own and today they’re among the rarest in the wine world, often available only on allocation.
