Tyrrell’s Taste of NSW Wine Lunch at Green Moustache – 21 May 2023

Green Moustache and renowned Hunter Valley winery Tyrrell’s are hosting an intimate wine lunch on Sunday 21st May 2023, showcasing the best of New South Wales’ seasonal produce and award-winning wines.

The Green Moustache chefs have curated an exquisite five course menu that highlights the freshest ingredients sourced from local farms and producers across the state. Complementing these delicious dishes are wines from one of the Hunter Valley’s oldest and most awarded wineries Tyrrell’s; delicious drops of NSW’ finest perfectly paired with each course.

The Green Moustache dream team is headed up in the kitchen by former Chin Chin chef Pete Fitzsimmons. Infusing Australian with International cuisine is the running style of the deliciously bold menu, with Pete’s sustainable approach to menu creation promising seasonally sourced fresh flavours are in abundance.

Woodfired sourdough from St Malo Bakery in Hornsby, NSW with pistachio and pork terrine, Hunter Valley extra virgin olive oil
Paired with NV Hunter Valley Sparkling Chardonnay Pinot Noir

Course 2
Pan fried Murray cod from Aquna Sustainable Murray Cod in the Riverina, NSW with fennel and crustacean broth, lotus root crisp
Paired with 2016 Winemaker’s Selection Vat 1 Semillon

Course 3
Applewood smoked duck breast from Pepes Ducks in Windsor, NSW with sautéed red shizo, five spiced sweet potato puree, cherry star anise glaze
Paired with 2022 Estate Grown Chardonnay

Course 4
Slow cooked Jacks Creek Black Angus beef cheek from Tamworth, NSW with confit kipfler potatoes, citrus gremolata
Paired with 2019 Winemaker’s Selection Vat 8 Shiraz Cabernet

Course 5
White chocolate and raspberry parfait, champagne glaze
Paired with 2022 Late Harvest Semillon
