Discover the history of the Hunter Valley at Tyrrell's, family owned and operated since 1858.
At the entrance to our estate, five generations of Tyrrell family winemaking can be traced to Edward Tyrrell’s original ironbark slab hut, built by hand in 1858. For 167 years since, Tyrrell’s has been a pioneer in both the Hunter Valley and Australian wine industries and is now home to some of Australia’s most awarded wines.

SACRED SITES
One of the most unique winery experiences available, and the only opportunity to taste the Sacred Sites wine collection. Enjoy a private tour of the vineyards and winery before a tutored tasting of our exclusive Sacred Sites wines.

Three of the Hunter Valley’s most iconic wineries - Audrey Wilkinson, Tyrrell’s and Brokenwood - have teamed up to create an ultimate wine experience with a one day itinerary comprising unique experiences at each cellar door.

Important Information About Visiting Tyrrell’s
Bookings are preferred
So we can best prepare your tasting experience for you, bookings are preferred. Tastings are conducted at 5 set times throughout the day – 10:00am, 11:15am, 12:30pm, 1:45pm, and 3:00pm. You can book online and browse our unique wine experiences.

We have four EV charging stations on-site available for customer use.
Bringing pets on site
If you wish to enjoy a tasting experience inside our Cellar Door, please be aware that your pet will need to remain outside for the duration of your tasting. We have ample shaded areas on our grounds to ensure your furry friend stays cool.
Enjoy our grounds
We encourage you to make the most of our beautiful picnic grounds, by purchasing a bottle of wine and sitting at one of the many tables and chairs which surround our property. We have plenty of seats, a BBQ area and large shaded areas surrounded by trees for you and your family and friends to enjoy.
