Explanation of Replacement Wines for Vintage 2024

The 2024 vintage has produced exceptionally high-quality wines despite our earliest vintage since 1981 and lowest cropping since 2007.
Challenging weather conditions have led to limited production, necessitating changes to our wine offering.

Due to the incredibly low crops, the following wines were not produced this vintage: Stevens Semillon, Pokolbin Hills Semillon and HVD Chardonnay.

With only standing order only quantities of Johnno’s Semillon and Vat 63 Chardonnay Semillon available.

Despite the challenges, the 2024 Semillons showcase remarkable depth and flavor while maintaining their signature purity and elegance.
The Chardonnays offer a rich and powerful profile, expertly balanced by our renowned Hunter Valley acidity.

Stevens Semillon
For those who have allocations of Stevens, we are offering the following replacement wines for the member to choose from:
2022
Stevens Semillon – 2 Golds, 96 Points James Suckling
2021 Stevens Semillon – 92+ Points Gary Walsh
2022
HVD Semillon – 1 Gold, 94 Points James Suckling
2024 HVD Semillon – 1 Gold
We are recommending to replace Stevens with HVD this year, due to the fact that HVD is quite similar in style to what Stevens usually is, with fine boned minerality that will please Stevens drinkers.

Pokolbin Hills Semillon
For those who have Pokolbin Hills Semillon on their allocations, we have the following wines available for replacements:
2022 Pokolbin Hills Semillon – 94 Points James Suckling
2021 Pokolbin Hills Semillon – 94 Points, Gary Walsh

2022 Belford Semillon – 95 Points James Suckling

HVD Chardonnay
For those who have HVD Chardonnay on their allocation, we are releasing the 2024 Estate Grown Chardonnay, which is the declassified HVD Chardonnay material, that we are offering one bottle of Estate Grown Chardonnay for $30 per one bottle of HVD Chardonnay on allocation.

We understand these changes may affect your wine allocations and appreciate your continued support.
